How can you expand your vocabulary, improve your pronunciation and practice the topics and structures you’ve been learning for a (long) while? The best option is to find an enjoyable environment where you can find yourself at ease while speaking with people with similar interests.
Granada is full of international university students and there are plenty of cultural exchanges. Most of these take place in restaurants, pubs or cafés where you can have a snack while you learn!
The following places are in the town centre, so get your GPS on and let’s go!
- Daly’s is an Irish pub in Realejo, a historical quarter in the centre. They have a Spanish/English quiz. You are welcome to go every Thursday at 7pm and have fun!
- Enebro Bar: darts and foosball games. Exchange students meet there on Thursdays at 8pm.
- Lemon Rock Hostel: language exchanges take place there every Monday at 8.30.
- Entresuelo: near the town marketplace, right at the very centre. Not only English – Spanish but speakers of other languages also meet there, on Tuesdays at 9.30pm.
- Lapaulina Taquería: It’s a Mexican restaurant. The exchanges are English-Spanish on Wednesdays at 20.45.
